Job Description
JOB TITLE
Quality Control Body ExteriorWHAT YOU WILL DO
Body quality control engineering position shall study and understand car body parts and process, to enhance body quality while meeting internal and external customer requirements- Inspect incoming/raw materials and assemblies to make quality decision
- Investigate and analyze defective products and develop countermeasure
- Establish short-term/long-term measures to ensure smooth production
- Collaborate with HMC visitors for quality improvement during new project development stage
- Enhance suppliers' quality level by conducting Supplier Process Audit(SPA) and reviewing their products, tools, and systems periodically
- Participate/lead BIW audit sharing inspection results with suppliers and HMGMA engineers to request and discuss improvement plan
- Manage assigned products to meet internal/external customer requirements
- Improve efficiency of quality control management system by learning and applying new technology, knowledge, and equipment
- Ensure the adequacy of relevant procedures and systems in accordance to specification and applicable legal requirements
- Meet all other requirements as assigned

Required:
- Bachelor's degree required
- Valid driver's license required

Preferred:
- Engineering major preferred; advanced degree in a related field preferred
- Domestic / International travel required.

This position is primarily sedentary and requires working at a desk and computer for extended periods.Responsibilities may include:
- Occasional lifting of office supplies (up to 15 pounds)
- Frequent use of hands and fingers for typing and handling documents
- Ability to sit, stand, and walk within the office environment as needed When in Production Area (if applicable):
- Standing, walking, bending, and reaching for extended durations
- Repeated lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling of materials and products (up to 25-30 pounds)
- Manual dexterity for handling power tools, machinery, or production equipment
- Working in environments that may be noisy, hot, or require the use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Ability to climb ladders or stairs and operate equipment safely and effectively
- Capability to learn and work on multiple production processes, as required
- Adequate visual and auditory abilities to identify safety hazards and communicate clearly
- Consistent and punctual attendance
- Ability to collaborate and perform effectively in a team-oriented environment
