Check out why Rinnai is the hottest place to work https://www.rinnai.us/about/why-rinnai. What does a Fabrication Press Operator do at Rinnai? To perform assigned duties safely and efficiently, producing. Defect free product. Facilitate movement of material and assure perfect product quality.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for start-up, operation, change over, shut down and preventative maintenance of assigned production equipment. Equipment may include, but not limited to, presses, overhead crane, fabrication line equipment, forklifts, or other power equipment. Operate all assigned equipment safely and efficiently in accordance to Company Safety Policy Perform manual tasks such as: loading, unloading, supplying fabrication line items, reworking product, and loading conveyors. Daily machine setup using HMI (Human Machine Interfaces) Die and or tooling change out (up to 8000lbs.) with the use of overhead crane or die lifting device. Monitor multiple machine operations simultaneously. Quality Assurance and testing compliance according to Company and/or designated facility standards with the use of calipers, micrometers, and other measuring devices Provide general plant, fabrication line and facility clean up (5S) Identify and recommend continuous improvement ideas. Setup and observe automatic feeding and stacking equipment. Conduct surface level troubleshooting and maintenance of assigned machines and equipment a needed for maximum product quality and operational efficiency.
REQUIREMENTS KNOWLEDGE
High school diploma or equivalent work experience Minimum 1-year large industrial press experience (preferred) Continuous improvement knowledge (preferred) SKILLS Ability to read and comprehend instructions. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide. Ability to operate hand tools efficiently. Ability to learn and rotate through all fabrication line and support roles. Ability to read and comprehend blueprints. Ability to operate large automated industrial equipment. Ability to operate large overhead power cranes. Ability to use precision measuring devices.
ABILITIES
Focus on safe work practices and high quality while executing duties with a sense of urgency. Work efficiently self-directed or in a team environment. Ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds Work cooperatively within a team environment. Flexible work hours to account for overtime as needed. Ability to inspect your own work as well as that of other associates. Ability to wear all required PPE.
