Job Description
Position Summary The inspector is responsible for ensuring the quality and integrity of cans throughout the production process. This position involves inspecting cans for defects, verifying specifications, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. Position Responsibilities Conduct thorough inspections of cans at various stages of production, checking for defects, leaks, and proper sealing. Monitor production processes for adherence to safety protocols and operational guidelines. Ensure compliance with safety and quality regulations by following established protocols and industry standards. Participate in regular quality audits and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the production process. Assist in training new employees on inspection techniques and quality control processes. Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety and hygiene standards. Crider Foods requires all employees to comply with and support all Food Safety and Quality policies, programs and procedures to ensure our products meet and exceed consumers' expectation. Perform other duties as assigned. Essential Skills and Experience High school diploma or equivalent is preferred. Previous experience in inspection within the food manufacturing or canning industry is highly desirable. Strong understanding of food safety regulations, quality standards, and canning processes. Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Flexibility to work varying shifts and overtime as needed. Must be able to follow directions and perform manual labor. Positions reporting to this person None Physical Demands and Work Environment Able to walk and stand, use arms and legs for long periods of time including wrist turning and finger manipulation. Employee stands frequently with tasks requiring consistent bending, stooping, kneeling, or crawling to complete; Lift, carry and push/pull occasionally of up to 50 pounds is required. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to extreme temperature conditions. Job locations can be consistently 40 degrees or below. The noise levels at work are moderate to loud and hearing protection is required.
