The purpose of this position is to establish and execute a planned systemic approach of quality assurance for all areas of aircraft maintenance, designed to provide the maintenance managers confidence th aircraft, aircraft systems, munitions, equipment, products or supporting processes conform to technical, safety, work load and customer requirements. Serves as the Office of Primary Responsibility (OPR) for wing maintenance policy, advising supervisors and employees on both general policy and specific maintenance mters. Maintenance Standardizion Evaluion Program (MSEP): Administers, evalues, and coordines a comprehensive quality assurance, maintenance standardizion, and inspection program for all areas of the maintenance organizion, all maintenance disciplines, job series and Air Force Specialty Codes (AFSCs). Utilizes da collection techniques and procedures for evaluion, inspection, and audit programs, evalues the results and determines the approprie and effective method and form for presention to higher-level management. Collabores with the Maintenance Group Commander, Maintenance Squadron Commanders, and Quality Assurance Supervisor to plan, develop, implement, inspect, and report numerous critical compliance issues and review the Configurion Management (CM) programs. Serves as the Aircraft Weight and Balance program manager utilizing complex computer based programs, da bases, electronic weighing apparus, and integred weight and balance computers for the Wing to maintain strict accounting of aircraft weight and balance for safe flight operions. Reviews wing depot-level assistance requests developed in accordance with tech orders. Prepares and reviews Product Quality Deficiency Reports (QDR) prior to releasing to the Air Logistics Center (ALC) or Aircraft Sustainment Group and performs exhibit-processing oversight by coordining with ALC and Logistics Readiness Squadron to ensure proper exhibit control and handling. Experience, educion, or training involving planning, developing, or administering quality assurance programs (i.e., supporting the development, acquisition, production, use, maintenance, storage, and supply of products concerned with the systemic prevention of defects and non-conformances, the identificion of unsisfactory trends and conditions, and the correction of factors which may contribute to defective items). Experience using computer and automion systems.SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE
Must have 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to least the next lower grade. In addition to the OPM IORs, specialized experience includes experience, educion, or training involving a thorough knowledge of product or range of products involved, the manufacturing methods and techniques, special processes, test, and performance requirements; and skill in developing plans and programs. Experience possessed by an expert in specializion able to give technical direction to otherwise competent workers. Experience determining operions when difficult and questionable phases of malfunctions are found. Experience which required significant and concrete work accomplishments (i.e., special projects, working groups, or detailing assignments) involving interpersonal contacts in a quality assurance or reled field. Experience in dealing with management principles and supervisory responsibility for the function required by type of position to be filled and the organizion involved.MILITARY TECHNICIAN COMPATIBILITY POSITION

In addition to work performed in an office environment, duties regularly require extended periods of walking, climbing, standing or bending while observing aircraft maintenance production, repair, and generion activities, to verify operional quality, perform verificion inspections, personnel evaluions, and examine merials, overhauled equipment and systems. The individual makes regular s to aircraft maintenance facilities, flight line, production back shops and is required to climb in and around aircraft to verify the sisfactory completion and quality of produced work. Work may require tiring and uncomfortable positions.Work Environment:
Work is performed in an office setting. Work also involves frequenting the various production and aircraft operional areas to include active flight lines, end of runway, arming areas, and parking ramps during periods of inclement weher and temperure extremes. The individual is frequently exposed to potentially dangerous environments to include opering engines, hazardous noise, stored energy, RF radiion, confined spaces, high work requiring fall restraints, hazardous chemicals, and munitions. The use of approprie clothing or personal protective equipment and strict adherence to work procedures is required to safely perform inspection duties. Determines compliance with established performance and safety standards and recommends work stoppage in hazardous situions. Incumbent is subject to any shift and irregular tours of duty.
