Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Field Technician specializing in Construction Material Testing. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work outdoors on active construction sites, performing essential testing and inspections to ensure materials meet industry standards. The ideal candidate will be passionate about quality assurance, possess strong technical skills, and thrive in a dynamic environment where safety and precision are paramount. Responsibilities Conduct testing of construction materials such as concrete, asphalt, soil, and masonry in accordance with ASTM, AASHTO, and ACI standards. Collect accurate data during field inspections and document findings meticulously using digital tools and reports. Perform quality control inspections on construction sites to verify material compliance with project specifications and contract requirements. Assist with laboratory testing procedures when necessary, ensuring proper sample handling and analysis. Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and team members to relay test results and inspection findings clearly. Maintain safety protocols at all times while working outdoors on active construction sites. Support project teams by providing timely updates on material conditions and inspection status. Skills Construction materials testing preferred. Knowledge of concrete, asphalt, soil, masonry, and related construction materials. Familiarity with ASTM standards, AASHTO standards, American Concrete Institute (ACI) standards, and other industry guidelines. Construction site experience with a focus on quality inspection and materials testing. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite for report writing and data management. Attention to detail for accurate data collection and reporting. Basic math skills including numeracy for measurements and calculations. Outdoor work experience in various weather conditions is essential. Excellent communication skills for client interaction and team collaboration.
