This position will be responsible for performing the daily functions associated with the quality assurance laboratory. Individuals should have a comprehensive understanding of wheat and flour quality, as well as testing methods and equipment associated with wheat and flour quality evaluation. The individual should possess good written and verbal communication skills and be willing to accept tasks as outlined by his/her Manager. Individuals must be self-motivated, detail-oriented, flexible outlook on tasks, with a strong work ethic.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform daily quality assurance functions - including wheat & flour testing, lab equipment maintenance & calibration, and associated documentation.
- General housekeeping/cleaning tasks associated with the lab.
- Solid understanding of customer flour specifications and ability to assure compliance.
- Data entry/management with understanding of key programs.
- HACCP certification and understanding of Mill Food Safety plan.
- Participation in Safety and Food Safety compliance activities as directed by Manager.
- Support other Mill related activities as directed by Manager.
NON-ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Employee training activities.
- Participation in third-party food safety audits .
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
- 1-2 years of related experience preferred.
- Valid driver's license This position is contingent upon successfully passing Grain Craft's background screening, physical, and drug-screening.
