Job Description
(Job Description) Our client in the Boise, Idaho location is currently hiring for a Quality Inspector. This position is a fully on‑site contract opportunity at a customer facility in Boise, Idaho. The role requires hands‑on inspection experience in fabrication, piping, and high‑purity systems, with the ability to work independently while collaborating with customer‑side quality teams. Travel is expected up to 10%. Pay

- $38.50 per hour (based on experience and relevant inspection experience) Location
- Boise, ID (On‑Site at customer location) Schedule
- Standard Monday
- Friday, 40 hours per week, Travel up to 10% (Responsibilities)
- Perform detailed visual inspections of welds to verify compliance with ASME, AWS, and customer specifications
- Review and validate Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS), Procedure Qualification Records (PQR), and Welder Qualification Test Records (WQTR)
- Inspect fabricated vessels, skidded systems, and internal vessel components
- Conduct in‑house inspections of fabricated parts and assemblies
- Inspect PVDF/PP piping welds for high‑purity applications
- Inspect PVC piping, bonded assemblies, and internal PVC vessel components
- Verify installation, fit‑up, and condition of internal vessel assemblies
- Perform inspections when equipment arrives on site after shipment and contractor handling
- Prepare detailed inspection reports with photos and supporting documentation
- Maintain accurate inspection and weld activity records
- Ensure documentation meets customer, regulatory, and internal quality requirements
- Work directly with customer‑site quality personnel to maintain strong professional relationships
- Provide guidance to welders and fabrication personnel to support adherence to standards
- Coordinate with engineering, production, and project teams to align inspections with project schedules (Qualification Requirements)
- 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment
- Hands‑on experience inspecting PVDF/PP piping welds for high‑purity or semiconductor applications
- Experience inspecting PVC piping and bonded assemblies
- Experience inspecting MEP systems on active job sites
- Familiarity with vessel fabrication, skidded systems, and internal component installation
- Strong understanding of WPS, PQR, and WQTR documentation
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and fabrication prints
- Proficiency with mechanical measuring tools and inspection equipment
- Working knowledge of ASME B31.
ASTM, ASME, AWS
D1.1, and NACE standards- Proficiency with MS Office applications including Excel and Teams
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to work independently at a customer site while maintaining clear communication (Disqualifiers)
- No hands‑on inspection experience in fabrication or piping environments
- No experience inspecting PVDF/PP or PVC piping systems
- Inability to work on‑site at a customer location in Boise, Idaho
- Limited experience reviewing or validating weld documentation (Employee Value Proposition)
