Job Description
•This position will be in McCook, IL• Overview We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented QA/QC Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality and compliance of our products through rigorous testing, inspection, and documentation procedures. The QA/QC Technician will work closely with production teams, laboratory staff, and management to maintain the highest standards of quality and safety. Responsibilities Conduct routine quality control inspections and tests on raw materials, intermediates, and finished products according to established protocols. Perform analytical testing using various laboratory equipment and instrumentation, such as chromatographs, viscometers, and titrators. Monitor and analyze process parameters to identify deviations and ensure adherence to specifications and regulatory requirements. Maintain accurate records of test results, observations, and corrective actions taken, following Good Documentation Practices (GDP). Investigate and resolve quality issues, non-conformities, and customer complaints in a timely manner, collaborating with cross-functional teams as needed. Participate in internal and external audits, assisting with documentation, data analysis, and corrective action implementation. Assist in the development and optimization of QA/QC procedures, methods, and specifications to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities for process optimization, waste reduction, and quality enhancement. Ensure compliance with relevant quality standards, regulations, and safety protocols, specifically ISO and OSHA requirements. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, following best practices for laboratory hygiene, chemical handling, and waste management. Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field. Proven experience in quality control/assurance within the chemical manufacturing industry, preferably in a regulated environment. Strong chemistry background and/or extensive bench experience in a lab is required. Strong analytical skills with proficiency in laboratory techniques, instrumentation, and data analysis. Knowledge of quality management systems (QMS), statistical process control (SPC), and quality assurance principles. Familiarity with regulatory requirements and industry standards, such as ISO 9001, cGMP, REACH, and SDS. Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to collaborate across departments and levels of the organization. Adherence to safety protocols and a commitment to maintaining a culture of safety and compliance. Proficiency in computer applications, including Microsoft Office Suite and laboratory information management systems (LIMS). #IND123 This position will be four (4) days per week, 10-hour shifts.
