Quality Technician (2nd shift) Chromalox United States, Illinois, Cary Aug 12, 2026 Quality Technician (2nd shift) Composed of Chromalox, Durex Industries, Vulcanic, and Thermocoax businesses, Electrical Thermal Solutions (ETS), part of Spirax Group, creates electrical process heating and temperature management solutions, including industrial heaters and systems, heat tracing, and a range of component technologies. Durex Industries has over 40 years' expertise in the thermal control business. A trusted custom thermal solutions supplier and engineering design partner for customers across a range of industry sectors, it also offers engineering, manufacturing, testing and laboratory and quality assurance services. Durex serves businesses in sectors including process industries, life sciences, plastics processing, food and packaging, aerospace, defense, and security. Its innovative bespoke solutions - such as retrofitting heating elements to prevent outdoor beverage dispensers from failing in low temperatures and custom-made circulation heaters to heat fuel in large ship engines. The Role:
As the Quality Technician, you will join our Quality Department and play a critical role in delivering high-quality thermal solutions to industries that keep the world moving.
Your Responsibilities:
Perform precision inspections using Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) Interpret blueprints and GD&T to validate part accuracy Use precision tools (micrometers, calipers, thread gages, gage pins) to verify dimensions Analyze data and collaborate with CNC and manufacturing teams on results Identify and communicate quality concerns proactively Support continuous improvement initiatives in inspection and quality processes Maintain a safe and organized work environment
Our Requirements:
Basic understanding of GD&T and Blueprint reading Experience using measurement equipment such as mics, calipers, thread gages and gage pins. Comfortable with basic math and computer systems A team player with strong communication skills Pride in delivering high-quality, accurate results Ability to cooperate with team members while maintaining a professional attitude.
Pay Rate:
