Job Description

Role Purpose

  • The Quality Control Inspector is responsible for performing routine incoming, in-process, and final inspections to ensure compliance with approved specifications and quality standards.

This role supports production by identifying defects, documenting results, and communicating issues to appropriate personnel.



Key Responsibilities

  • Perform assigned duties in accordance with documented procedures and work instructionsInspect incoming materials using basic measurement tools and visual inspection methodsConduct in-process inspections to verify product conformance and notify production of discrepanciesPerform final inspections to ensure products meet quality standards prior to shipmentUse standard measuring equipment (calipers, micrometers, gauges) to verify dimensionsDocument inspection results in reports, logs, and quality systemsEnsure Traveler Work Orders and inspection documentation are completed accuratelyFollow production schedules and priorities to support on-time deliveryMaintain a clean, safe, and organized work areaIdentify and report nonconforming materials to supervisorsSupport continuous improvement initiatives as directedWork Experience & Skills•Education•High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Experience:

2-4 years of quality inspection or manufacturing experience preferredSkills / Knowledge

  • Basic computer and data entry skillsAbility to read basic engineering drawings and work instructionsFamiliarity with standard measurement toolsUnderstanding of basic quality and safety procedures
