Job Title:
Quality Assurance Documentation Specialist Job Description The Quality Assurance Documentation Specialist ensures that all quality records and batch documentation are accurate, complete, and compliant with established standard operating procedures (SOPs). This role focuses on document control, batch record review, and clear communication of quality findings to leadership to support consistent product quality and regulatory compliance. Responsibilities Review batch records regularly to verify accuracy, completeness, and compliance with applicable SOPs. Complete and update quality records and documentation in accordance with established procedures. Maintain organized document control systems to ensure that all quality documents are current, accessible, and properly archived. Identify discrepancies, errors, or gaps in batch records and other quality documents and document these findings clearly. Communicate quality findings, trends, and issues to leadership in a timely and professional manner. Ensure that all documentation activities align with quality assurance standards and regulatory expectations. Collaborate with production and other departments as needed to resolve documentation issues and improve record-keeping practices. Work both in the quality office and on the production floor to obtain, verify, and reconcile required documentation. Follow SOPs and quality guidelines consistently to support continuous improvement and compliance. Maintain legible, accurate handwritten entries where required and ensure all records are readable and understandable. Essential Skills Experience in quality or quality assurance. Experience with document control and quality documentation processes. Ability to perform detailed batch record review and identify discrepancies. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications. Strong attention to detail with clear, legible handwriting. Ability to read and write in the English language. Ability to follow and apply standard operating procedures (SOPs). Additional Skills & Qualifications Bilingual Spanish language skills are a plus. Experience working with production or manufacturing documentation is beneficial. Strong organizational skills to manage multiple documents and tasks. Effective verbal and written communication skills to report findings to leadership. Work Environment This role primarily operates in a quality office setting, where you will work independently to review and manage documentation. You will also spend part of your time on the production floor to access and verify records and collaborate with operations staff. Standard hours are 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, with the possibility of overtime, including weekends, based on business needs. Initial training will take place on a first-shift schedule for several weeks. The environment combines office-based computer work with time spent in a production area, requiring adherence to all applicable safety and facility procedures. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Elgin, IL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
