Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Quality Assurance Technician to join our manufacturing team. This role is essential in ensuring that products meet stringent quality standards and comply with regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in quality control processes, measurement techniques, and industry standards such as
ISO 13485, ISO
9001, and GMP. As a key contributor to our quality management system, you will support continuous improvement initiatives, conduct comprehensive audits, and utilize advanced measurement instruments to uphold product integrity and safety. Responsibilities Perform daily check of temperatures and visual inspections in production and warehouse as well as freezer/cooler storage areas. Calibrate thermometers and sanitizer solution by testing both. Complete documentation, as necessary. Complete all necessary HACCP forms and all defined actions within, and address comments and concerns with supervisor within 24 hours. Inspect raw materials for proper specifications, codes, lot numbers, and dates including information necessary for lot tracking on batch sheets and other approved forms. Maintain weight controls for ingredients and finished products and give feedback for adjustment to maintain appropriate targets. Monitor and record packaging specification are followed and record the results on approved forms. Check codes of finished products for compliance with customer specifications. Monitor check weight and net weights of product to ensure compliance with standard. Audit proper functioning of metal detector. Verify the effectiveness of cleaning through pre-operational (visual) inspections, ATP swabbing and Operational Inspections. Fills out the hold tag with the appropriate information. Collect product samples for testing and conducting in house sampling and testing. Assist in Export Verification process. Periodically train production personnel in proper QC procedures. Ensure plant quality control procedures are being followed to prevent the production of unacceptable product. Maintain equipment required for quality control testing. Performs other duties as assigned. Experience Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs). Must have strong written, math, oral communication, and basic computer skills. Requires the ability to work effectively with production and warehouse personnel. Bilingual, English and Spanish required. Two years of manufacturing experience in a food setting.
