Universal Beauty Products is seeking an experienced, hands-on Quality Control Technician to support daily quality operations in a fast-paced cosmetics manufacturing environment. This position is responsible for performing inspections, testing, and quality verification throughout the manufacturing process to ensure products meet established specifications and are produced in compliance with FDA Cosmetic GMPs, ISO 22716, customer requirements, company quality standards, and applicable safety requirements. The Quality Control Technician works closely with Production, Pre-Weigh, Compounding, R&D, Warehouse, and other cross-functional departments to identify and address quality concerns, nonconforming materials or products, and process deviations. This role supports product quality, safety, compliance, accurate documentation, Right First Time (RFT) execution, and continuous improvement while following required GMP, PPE, OSHA, SOP, and workplace safety requirements. We are currently seeking to hire a QC Technician for 2nd Shift.

Monday through Friday (2:30 PM - 11:00 PM)
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Visually inspect and test raw materials, components, products, and manufacturing processes before, during, and after production to verify compliance with established specifications and quality standards. Operate applicable inspection and laboratory equipment; accurately record, analyze, and maintain quality data and test results. Accept, reject, or place raw materials, components, in-process products, and finished goods on hold according to established specifications and procedures. Review product specifications, quality standards, test plans, Certificates of Analysis (COAs), and required documentation, including verification prior to unloading or accepting applicable raw materials. Identify and document nonconforming products or processes and collaborate with Production, Pre-Weigh, Compounding, R&D, and other departments to address quality concerns and implement approved corrective actions. Assist with root-cause investigations and the review, implementation, and follow-up of Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) related to nonconformances, customer complaints, and returned goods. Perform required laboratory and product testing, including testing of customer complaints and returned good samples. Direct Production to stop or place filling/manufacturing processes on hold when nonconforming conditions are identified and promptly escalate concerns to appropriate management. Recommend quality and process improvements within manufacturing and inventory functions and support Quality Control and cross-functional activities as needed. Follow all applicable GMP, PPE, OSHA, sanitation, hygiene, safety, and company SOP requirements and maintain accurate and complete quality records. Other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED required. Associate's degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Business, or technical training preferred but not required. SAP experience is a plus. Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Quality department, preferably within cosmetics, personal care, or a related manufacturing environment. Strong understanding of applicable Occupational Safety and Health (OSHA), GMP, PPE, and workplace safety requirements. Ability to follow SOPs, product specifications, quality standards, and established testing procedures. Prolonged periods of standing and ability to traverse manufacturing and warehouse areas on hard or uneven surfaces. Basic computer skills, including email and data entry (Microsoft Office, Excel). Observant, detail-oriented, and able to accurately identify and document quality concerns. Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Approachable, professional, and able to work effectively in a team and cross-functional environment. Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus. Proven experience in factory or manufacturing facility environments with hands-on QC exposure.
Pay:
$18.00 - $21.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
