Provide support for Quality, Engineering, and Manufacturing. Promote and maintain a safe and clean work environment. Provide suggestions and feedback on improving departmental processes, performance goals and environment. Perform visual, functional, and dimensional inspections, providing reporting as appropriate. Reference control plans, generate and maintains SPC charts. Generate, review, and documents results of inspections and testing of parts for compliance to drawing specifications. Properly maintain paper and electronic (PDF or other) records. Provide timely feedback on the status of incoming product to Quality, Receiving, Manufacturing, and/or Distribution (Receive, Hold, RWK, Ship, etc.). Initiate corrective actions when appropriate. Act as liaison to parts suppliers, and initiate contact regarding quality problems (phone/email). Maintain a neat and orderly personal work area and assists with keeping other areas in a neat and orderly condition. Other related and similar duties as assigned. Qualifications Fulfill all essential job functions in a consistent state of alertness and safe manner. Abide by all safety policies, procedures, rules, and guidelines in order prevent and reduce exposure to accidents and injuries. Wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required. Work a 40-hour work schedule. Maintain consistent and acceptable attendance. Available to work overtime as required, including weekend and holiday work based on business demands. Physical presence at designated work site. Pay close attention to detail and follow instructions/procedures to meet quality standards. Work in a team environment by assisting in training and facilitating job duties for other team members (including temps). Demonstrate a positive attitude. Successfully complete and pass required lift truck operation tests and training, and obtain and maintain appropriate lift truck licensing. Use RF (radio frequency) units. Must have High School Diploma (or G.E.D.). Some college course work completed and/or pursuit of continuing education. Bilingual in Spanish a plus. Proficient computer skills with knowledge of MS Office (Oracle Systems a plus). Math skills must include understanding of English and Metric systems, decimals, and fractions. Understand and interpret 2d drawings, specifications, etc. Proficient in the use of metrology equipment including calipers, micrometers, indicators, go/no go gages, and other inspection equipment. Some background in manufacturing and/or quality discipline preferred. Excellent analytical / problem solving skills with the ability to interpret results leading to corrective action. Work with minimal or no supervision. Self-directed, follow instructions, and interact well with others.
