Tech-Max Machine is a precision CNC machining company located in Itasca, IL. We specialize in machining large parts with extensive capabilities in CNC Turning, Milling, Boring, Wire EDM and Mechanical Assembly Services. Job Summary:
We are looking for a Quality Technician to be responsible for dimensionally inspecting machined components to blueprint dimensions.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Perform visual and dimensional inspections on machined parts
  • Prepare inspection reports from drawings, customer and engineering specifications
  • Coordinate inspections with Production Managers and Engineering team
  • Ensure all required inspection report documentation is accurately completed and compiled
  • Ability to verify gages are in calibration
  • Maintain safe working environment
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Requirements:
  • Position requires the applicant be a US Person or Permanent Resident (Green Card Holder)
  • High school education preferred
  • Minimum of 1-3 years' experience working in metrology lab
  • Ability to efficiently use the majority of the following tools: bore gages, gage blocks, Pi tapes, ultrasonic thickness gage, optical comparator, sine plate, precision square, hardness tester, paint thickness gage, Micro-Hite (advance functions), angle plates (right angle and thread), thread gages, thread wires, inside and outside micrometers, Coordinating Measuring Machine (CMM-advanced functions), and profilometer • Working knowledge of ISO and AS9100 Quality Management Systems • Excellent knowledge of GD&T of blueprint reading • Working knowledge of AutoCAD, 3D modeling, and Solidworks a plus • Knowledge and familiarity working in a fast-paced machine shop environment • Excellent math skills, especially algebra and trigonometry Compensation based on qualifications and experience.

Job Type:
Full-time Base Pay:
$20.00 - $30.00 per hour
