Job Description

CMM Programmer We are seeking a skilled CMM Programmer to create and edit dimensional inspection programs for the Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) both interactively and off-line. The role involves creating program setup and execution documentation that details preparation, part orientation, and operation instructions for other inspection personnel. A working knowledge of blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications, and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing is essential. The position also requires conducting CMM inspections of various parts, gages, and tooling, as well as performing surface plate inspections and handheld gage setup/calibration as needed. Responsibilities Create and edit dimensional inspection programs for the CMM both interactively and off-line. Develop program setup and execution documentation detailing preparation, part orientation, and operation instructions for inspection personnel. Conduct CMM inspections of miscellaneous parts, gages, and tooling as required. Perform surface plate inspections and handheld gage setup/calibration as necessary. Collaborate with Manufacturing and Engineering personnel regarding part conformance and process capability. Essential Skills 3+ years of CMM programming experience. Proficiency in programming using PC DMIS software. Strong working knowledge of blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications, and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Machesney Park, IL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $38.00 - $48.00/hr.
