Quality Control Technician
Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Quality Control Technician to join our manufacturing team. In this vital role, you will ensure that all products meet strict quality standards and regulatory requirements through meticulous inspection, measurement, and analysis. Your expertise will help maintain the integrity of our production processes, uphold compliance with industry standard systems, GMPS, and FDA regulations, and support continuous improvement initiatives. Responsibilities Perform dimensional and visual inspections using precision measuring instruments such as height gauges, coordinate measuring machines (CMM), vision inspection systems, and other measurement tools to verify product specifications. Interpret mechanical blueprints, manufacturing documents, and technical drawings accurately to ensure components meet design requirements. Conduct quality audits throughout the production process to identify deviations from quality standards in accordance. Utilize calibration procedures for measuring instruments and ensure all tools are within calibration limits for precise measurements. Collect and analyze data related to product quality, documenting findings clearly and accurately for review and reporting purposes. Support manufacturing teams by providing feedback on quality issues and collaborating on corrective actions to improve product consistency. Assist in maintaining compliance with regulatory/legal standards by adhering to established quality management systems (QMS) and GMP protocols. Experience Proven experience in quality control or quality assurance within a manufacturing environment, preferably in medical device or pharmaceutical industries. Familiarity with quality standards systems, GMPS, FDA regulations, and HACCP is highly desirable. Hands-on experience operating precision measurement instruments including height gauges, coordinate measuring machines (CMM), vision inspection systems, and other measuring devices. Strong understanding of dimensional measurements, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), mechanical blueprint interpretation, and manufacturing documentation. Ability to perform detailed analysis using data collection tools and software to identify trends or deviations in product quality. Mechanical knowledge combined with basic math skills to interpret technical specifications accurately. Excellent attention to detail with the ability to perform thorough quality inspections while maintaining efficiency in a fast-paced production setting.
