POSITION SUMMARY

This department is under new Management! Located in Palatine IL, we are looking for candidates for 2nd & 3rd shift. This position is to significantly add to the availability, involvement and effectiveness of Quality Control on the production floor. Must demonstrate a high level of teamwork!

SCHEDULE

Monday - Friday (Must rotate on weekends overtime required) 2nd shift 3:00 PM-11:00PM 3rd shift 11:00PM-7:00AM

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Audits finished goods and works in-process per prescribed requirements.
• Approves 1st piece inspection parts.
• Ensures that all start-up documents have been properly filled out by the appropriate personnel.
• Ensures that the correct material is being used and is properly identified.
• Performs dimensional checks per set parameters and requirements.
• Verifies line clearance has been properly performed before starting the next job.
• Assists in the training of shop floor staff (visual inspection criteria, visual aids, approve samples, PPE, and safety).
• Verifies that all product is properly labeled.
• Verifies that red containers are being used properly and non-conforming products have been properly documented and disposed.

EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS

H.S. diploma or equivalent. Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus. 1-year experience in Quality Control Environment. Must be able to comprehend written and oral instructions in English. Able to write legibly to keep records and to correspond. Strong mathematical skills to add, subtract, multiply and divide. Microsoft Excel and Word knowledge.
