ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Quality Inspectors monitor quality standards for all manufactured products. They record the results of their inspections on the inspection sheets. When defects are found they notify supervisors and help to analyze and correct production problems.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Quality control inspectors are responsible for the following: Read blueprints and specifications. Monitor operations to ensure that they meet production standards. Recommend adjustments to the assembly or production process. Inspect, test, or measure materials or products being produced. Measure products with rulers, calipers, gauges, height gages, protractors, or micrometers. Accept or reject finished items. Remove all products and materials that fail to meet specifications. Discuss inspection results with those responsible for products. Report inspection and test data. Audit scrap bins and logs for adherence to procedure. Support sorting process for suspect product when issues are found. Review inspection tools and gauges for calibration status (check calibration labels are up to date). Review Inspection Folders are up to date
•Notify Quality Engineers when an update is needed.
REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES
Able to read blueprints. Able to use inspection hand tools
•calipers, micrometers, tape measures, protractor, height gauges. Able to understand written work instructions and procedures. Basic mathematic skills. Basic computer skills.
Pay:
From $17.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0
•50.0 per week
