As the Drive & Control Company, we develop, produce, and distribute our components and system solutions in over 80 countries. Job DescriptionThe following reflects essential functions for this job but does not restrict the tasks that may be assigned. It is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as the company may deem necessary.
  • Startup and shutdown the CMM machines
  • Qualify probes and perform additional studies on gauges daily
  • Review CMM results and Document inspection results as required
  • Set up Autorun programs to help inspection
  • Record inspection data using established programs and software
  • Compile data from the gauge
  • Complete any other tasks as assigned by supervisor
  • Inspect components to determine if they are compliant to specifications
  • Submit Non-Conformance reports for goods failing inspection
  • Interpret detailed blueprints, work orders and engineering specifications
  • Discuss inspection results with those responsible for products
  • Follow all clean-up and housekeeping procedures
  • Comply with all safety and sanitation regulations
  • Notify supervisors and other personnel of production problems and assist in identifying these problemsQualificationsKnowledge/ Experience
  • A high school graduate or GED
  • Knowledge of CMM operations including setup and controls.
  • 1+ years' experience in mechanical inspection and manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance including the ability to define tolerances on prints and perform inspection techniques.
  • Ability to follow inspection processes and plans
  • Previous experience with quality control equipment such as calipers, micrometers, gauges preferred
  • Previous experience with advanced quality control equipment such as: digital height gauges, surface roughness gauges, coordinate measurement systems, etc. preferred
  • Proficient with MS Windows, Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Some experience with technical specifications and blueprints
  • The ability to see details at close range
  • Work independently with little supervision
  • Exhibit ethical independence and judgment of the parts and process
  • Clear communication
  • Critical thinking Physical RequirementsWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to do the following:
  • Ability to walk/stand for long periods of time
  • Lift and move a minimum of 30 pounds without assistance
  • Working with small parts
  • Repetitive hand/arm use Work Environment
  • Some of the work time is spent in a warehouse environment where temperatures are often warm or cool, depending upon the season, and noise level can be moderate to high
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Walking back and forth between running machines
Additional InformationSalary and Benefits:
The hourly range for the position is $20- $23/hour. The individual pay is determined based on several factors, including, but not limited to, work experience and job knowledge, complexity of the role, job location, etc. The Recruiter can share more details about the specific salary range during the interview process.
