Full-Time We are seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Inspector to join a manufacturing team in Schaumburg. This position is responsible for inspecting products and components throughout the manufacturing process to ensure they meet customer specifications, engineering drawings, and quality standards. The ideal candidate will have previous quality inspection experience in a manufacturing environment, strong attention to detail, and the ability to read blueprints and interpret GD&T . Experience with welding, fabrication, and precision measuring equipment is highly preferred. Key Responsibilities Perform detailed quality inspections of products and components throughout production, including machining, forming, welding, and assembly. Conduct and document visual and dimensional inspections to verify conformance with customer requirements, drawings, specifications, and applicable standards. Read and interpret engineering blueprints, including Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) . Use precision measuring equipment such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, CMMs, Romer arms, and optical comparators . Identify and report non-conforming parts to the Quality Assurance Manager and/or production supervisors. Assist with expediting parts by working closely with scheduling and planning departments. Complete and maintain quality documentation and inspection reports. Assist with First Article Inspection (FAI) and PPAP documentation . Apply knowledge of
ISO 9001
quality concepts, practices, and procedures. Utilize Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel , to create and maintain reports. Work closely with production and quality teams to identify defects and improve overall product quality. Requirements 2+ years of previous Quality Assurance/Quality Inspector experience required. High School Diploma or GED required. Ability to read and interpret manufacturing drawings and blueprints. Understanding of GD&T. Experience using precision measurement tools. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Ability to follow work instructions and manufacturing specifications. Basic understanding of measurement tools such as tape measures, calipers, and gauges.
