Position Overview:

Quality Technician is responsible for testing materials and finished products to ensure they conform to all applicable laws and company standards. This position provides support to the company in daily measurement of produced parts, work procedure maintenance, rejected components analysis and scrap tracking. Shop floor process audits as required.

Essential Job Functions:

Daily precise measurement of machined works using CMM, roundness tester, surface tester and laser surface profile and manual CMM to ensure quality specifications are met. Use of micrometers, calipers, depth micrometers, profilometers, surface plate setups to perform tests. Measurement of degree of contamination in products, hydraulic oil and cleaning solution. Particulate size mapping. Audit, review, and update written work procedures. Administration of measurement instruments and tools both in measurement room and factory floor. Calibration of the measurement instrument and tooling. Enters gage calibration reports and new gages in GageTrak Calibration Software. Ability to read part prints and determine inspection method for characteristics. Reports quality anomalies to leadership. Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner Additional duties as assigned Education / Experience /

Skills:

High school diploma or GED. Previous manufacturing or warehouse experience preferred. Basic understanding of Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, etc.) Physical Requirements / Working Conditions The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
