Job Summary Hammond Group is seeking a detail-oriented Quality Assurance (QA) Laboratory Technician for 2026 to ensure the excellence of our in-process materials and finished products. This role is critical for maintaining high production standards through rigorous testing, precise documentation, and equipment maintenance. The ideal candidate brings at least two years of laboratory experience, technical proficiency with specialized instrumentation, and a collaborative, team-oriented mindset. Essential Functions & Responsibilities Use proper Personal Protective Equipment while performing procedures Report all accident or injuries to Manager Collect and analyze all necessary samples Ensure timely and accurate analysis on raw materials, finished goods, sample requests, samples from other divisions, and customer samples Determine approval status of samples Communicate any non-conformances to Managers, and originate NC in uniPoint Review raw material
COAs:
communicate if there is missing COA/information to Manager Maintain and improve competency level of knowledge of work instructions/procedure Train incoming laboratory personnel and interns on QA work instructions /procedures Maintain all laboratory electronic logs and QMS software in an organized, efficient manner Teams logbooks Ross ERP Data Entry Statistical Process Control Data uniPoint Modules Communicate with customers through various reports and COAs Report instrumentation problems to Manager Ensure the laboratory is clean and organized: Properly retain samples Properly dispose of ICP, retains, other samples, and waste Maintain lab supply inventory: Make laboratory solutions as needed (e.g. ICP standards) Inform Manager if lab supplies, solution, chemicals, or glassware are low Participate and/or conduct audits (e.g. 5S, Preservation of Inventory, Product Audit, Safety Audit, IATF or Customer Audit)
Required Qualifications Experience:
2+ years of professional laboratory experience.
Industry Knowledge:
At least 1 year of experience in a lead production facility.
Education:
Associate degree preferred.
Technical Skills:
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Competencies:
Strong attention to detail with the ability to complete tasks accurately and within strict deadlines. Must be a team player with excellent communication skills.
Pay:
$25.00 - $28.00 per hour
