6pm-6am 2nd B Shift Position Summary Edge Industrial Staffing is seeking a detail-oriented Quality Inspector to support a leading manufacturing client in Indianapolis, IN. This role is responsible for ensuring products meet customer specifications and quality standards through inspections of raw materials, in-process production, and finished goods. The Quality Inspector will verify compliance with work instructions, specifications, and quality requirements while maintaining accurate documentation and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. Key Responsibilities Perform inspections of incoming materials, work-in-process products, and finished goods. Verify adherence to specifications, blueprints, work instructions, and quality standards. Document inspection results and maintain accurate quality records. Support the creation and revision of quality documentation, including SOPs, inspection instructions, and data collection forms. Assist with quality and operational inspections and audits. Identify defects and initiate non-conformance procedures when necessary. Support material control activities involving non-conforming and hold materials. Participate in troubleshooting efforts and root cause investigations through data collection and feedback. Recommend process improvements to enhance quality and efficiency. Become proficient in the use of inspection equipment and measuring tools. Assist with training initiatives for quality inspectors and production personnel. Cross-train and provide coverage for quality operations as needed. Support internal audit activities and continuous improvement projects. Qualifications Previous quality inspection experience in a manufacturing environment preferred. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, and specifications. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other computer applications. Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Commitment to teamwork, safety, and continuous improvement.
