Lafayette, IN 47905 About the Role We're hiring Lab Inspectors to join our team in Lafayette, IN. This is a highly technical position focused on precision inspection, measurement, and quality verification of machined components. The ideal candidate will have familiarity with gages and precision measuring equipment, a strong technical mindset, and the ability to work independently. We're looking for a self-starter who is comfortable working with technical information, identifying issues, and maintaining a high level of accuracy. What You'll Do Perform detailed inspections and measurements of machined components Use various gages and precision measuring equipment to verify part specifications Read and understand technical measurements, drawings, and specifications Accurately document inspection and measurement results Identify quality issues and communicate findings to the appropriate team members Follow established inspection, quality, and safety procedures Maintain accurate inspection records and computer documentation Troubleshoot measurement or inspection issues when needed Work independently while maintaining accuracy and productivity Support overall quality goals within the manufacturing environment What We're Looking For Previous experience or familiarity with gages, measuring tools, or inspection equipment preferred Strong technical and mechanical mindset Ability to understand measurements, specifications, and technical information Excellent attention to detail and accuracy Self-starter who can work independently with minimal supervision Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills Basic computer skills and ability to accurately enter data Manufacturing, quality, inspection, machining, or Gage Lab experience is a plus Dependable and able to maintain consistent quality standards Why You'll Love Working Here Competitive pay of $25.62/hour Technical, hands-on work environment Opportunity to develop advanced inspection and quality skills Supportive team environment Opportunity for growth and skill development Shift 2nd
