Quality Control Inspector (Experienced)
Location:
Lafayette, IN Pay:
$25.00-$30.00/hour, based on experience
Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 6:55 AM-3:25
PM Shift:
1st Shift Pro Resources is seeking an experienced Quality Control Inspector for a temp-to-hire opportunity with a small, established machine shop in Lafayette, IN. This position is responsible for inspecting precision-machined parts and completing accurate quality documentation throughout the production process. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, comfortable working independently, and able to multitask in a small, close-knit team environment. Responsibilities Perform first-piece, in-process, and final inspections Inspect parts for compliance with blueprints, specifications, and customer requirements Complete AS9102 First Article Inspection Reports Accurately record inspection results and maintain quality paperwork Identify and communicate quality concerns Work closely with machinists and other team members to resolve issues Balance hands-on inspection responsibilities with computer and paperwork duties Inspection Tools and Equipment Experience with several of the following is preferred: Height stand gauges Depth micrometers Drop indicators Outside diameter micrometers Calipers Thread, pin, angle, radius, and chamfer gauges Profilometer Brown & Sharpe CMM Qualifications Previous quality inspection experience in a machining or manufacturing environment Ability to read blueprints and interpret dimensional specifications Experience with precision measuring tools and gauges Familiarity with AS9102 First Article Inspection Reports is preferred Strong computer, documentation, and organizational skills Ability to multitask and work well with a small team Dependable, accurate, and willing to learn If you have quality inspection experience and are looking for a long-term opportunity with room to grow, apply today! #clerical
