Job Description

Quality Technician

•Manufacturing (West Side of Indianapolis) This job is for Quality Technician aspiring to become a Quality Engineer Our client is an established manufacturer on the west side of Indianapolis seeking a Quality Technician to inspect incoming materials, work-in-process, and finished product to ensure customer specifications and quality standards are met. This position works closely with Production to identify quality issues, document findings, and help maintain consistent product quality.

Responsibilities:

Inspect incoming materials, work-in-process, and finished product to verify conformance to customer specifications. Perform visual and dimensional inspections using calipers, thickness gauges, and other inspection equipment. Read drawings, specifications, work instructions, and quality standards to determine product acceptance. Record inspection results and maintain quality and traceability documentation. Collect inspection and process data, identify trends, and assist in determining root causes of quality issues. Prepare quality reports and use Excel to organize, trend, and analyze inspection data. Work with Production to resolve quality issues and verify corrective actions. Support

ISO 9001

quality processes and continuous improvement initiatives. Experience we're looking for: 5+ years of manufacturing quality experience as a Quality Technician, Quality Inspector, or similar role. Experience using precision measuring equipment including calipers, thickness gauges, and other inspection tools. Ability to read engineering drawings, specifications, and manufacturing documentation. Experience collecting inspection data, documenting findings, identifying trends, and supporting root cause investigations. Proficient with Excel for maintaining inspection records, trending data, and creating basic charts and reports. Experience working in a precision manufacturing environment is preferred.
