CMM Programmer - Direct Hire Confidential South Bend, IN Job Details Full-time Up to $35 an hour 9 hours ago Qualifications Computer operation CAD High school diploma or GED Attention to detail Associate's degree Manufacturing company experience Full Job Description Seeking a CMM Programmer to develop, maintain, and run coordinate measuring machine programs that verify our parts and assemblies meet engineering specifications. You will work closely with Quality, Engineering, and Production to interpret drawings, inspect first articles and in-process parts, and turn measurement data into actionable feedback that keeps product quality high and rework low. Key Responsibilities Program CMMs (offline and online) to inspect machined, fabricated, and assembled components per engineering drawings and models Interpret blueprints, 3D CAD models, and GD&T (ASME Y14.5) to determine inspection methods, datum schemes, and measurement strategies Design, select, and build fixtures, probes, and styli configurations for accurate, repeatable measurement Perform first article inspections (FAI) and generate inspection reports Support in-process and final inspection by running programs, analyzing results, and reporting nonconformances Analyze measurement data using SPC and other statistical methods; identify trends and communicate findings to Production and Engineering Perform CMM calibration checks, routine maintenance, and gauge verification to keep equipment in good working order Collaborate with Manufacturing and Design Engineering on part manufacturability and inspection feasibility Support root cause analysis and corrective action (8D, 5 Why, etc.) for quality issues Maintain organized program libraries, revision control, and inspection documentation Follow all safety, quality system, and company procedures High school diploma or GED; associate degree or technical certification in metrology, manufacturing, or a related field preferred 2+ years of CMM programming experience in a manufacturing environment working knowledge of GD&T and blueprint reading Proficiency with CMM software such as PC-DMIS, Calypso, or MODUS (specify your platform) Experience with precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, height gauges, pin gauges, etc.) Strong math skills and attention to detail Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office Specialized Staffing Solutions, LLC. is an equal opportunity employer.
