Job Description

Are you passionate about quality excellence in plastic molding manufacturing? We are seeking a dedicated Quality Engineer to join our team in South Bend, IN. As a key player, you'll ensure that our products meet the highest standards, delighting our customers and driving our success.
Responsibilities:
Ensure the highest quality standards in plastic molding manufacturing processes. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement quality control procedures. Conduct OQ/PQ assessments to validate equipment and processes, ensuring compliance with industry standards. Lead PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) activities at all levels, from initial submission to final approval. Serve as an ISO-certified internal auditor, continuously improving quality management systems. Utilize CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) and View Finder for precise measurements and inspections. Design and execute experiments (DOE) to optimize production processes and minimize defects. Sample products according to customer requirements, maintaining rigorous quality standards. Proficiently use MS Excel and MS Word for data analysis, reporting, and documentation. Collaborate cross-functionally and across departments to drive quality improvements. Build strong relationships with customers, addressing their quality concerns and ensuring satisfaction.
Requirements:
Minimum of 3 years of experience as a quality engineer or senior technician in an injection molding environment. Hands-on experience with CMM and View Finder for precise measurements and inspections. Expertise in completing PPAP requirements at all levels. Familiarity with OQ/PQ type of requirements and validation processes. ISO certification as an internal auditor is a strong advantage. Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Word for data analysis and reporting. Strong interpersonal skills to interact effectively with colleagues and customers. Attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
