The normal work schedule is Monday through Friday from 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM, including a 30-minute unpaid lunch break. Additional hours or overtime may be required based on production schedules, deliveries, inventory needs, and business demands. The Labor & Inventory Support Specialist plays a critical role in keeping field crews productive and warehouse operations organized. This position is responsible for loading labor crews with the correct materials, supporting inventory organization and material control, processing returned jobsite materials, and supporting both warehouse and monument operations. By ensuring the right materials are available, organized, and ready for use, this seat directly contributes to the efficiency, quality, and reliability of J&N Stone's daily operations.
Ultimate Accountability:
Ensure labor crews, monument operations, and limestone operations have the materials, equipment, and support needed to operate efficiently each day. This position is accountable for properly processing returned materials and supporting warehouse operations. Inventory accuracy is owned by the Warehouse Inventory & Loading Specialist. This position supports inventory activities through material movement, returns processing, organization, and reporting discrepancies. Part 1: The Roles Loading Labor Crews & Deliveries- Load labor crews with the correct materials and supplies required for daily job assignments.
- Load company trucks and trailers when labor deliveries are scheduled, ensuring all materials are accurate, secure, and ready for transport.
- Verify load quantities and materials prior to departure to reduce delays and jobsite shortages.
- Operate forklifts and loading equipment safely while maintaining company safety standards. Material Returns & Jobsite Cleanups
- Process all materials returned from completed jobs and mason trucks.
- Separate reusable stone and materials from waste and debris.
- Dispose of junk, damaged, or unusable materials in accordance with company standards.
- Organize and return salvageable stone and materials back into inventory for future use.
- Maintain a clean and organized cleanup area to prevent unnecessary inventory loss. Inventory Support & Material Handling
- Stage, move, and organize materials in designated inventory locations.
- Process returned job materials and return approved materials to inventory.
- Notify the Warehouse Inventory & Loading Specialist of inventory discrepancies, missing materials, or damaged inventory.
- Follow inventory control procedures when moving or returning materials.
- Assist with inventory counts and inventory audits as requested.
- Support warehouse organization and material accessibility. Monument & Limestone Fabrication Support
- Assist the monument department with production, preparation, and material handling as needed.
- Support limestone fabrication activities, including material movement, sorting, and shop organization.
- Work alongside production personnel to ensure materials are available for scheduled work.
- Perform additional shop and warehouse duties as assigned. Forklift Driver Coverage
- Fill in for the other forklift driver when unavailable.
