What You Can Expect As a Quality Engineering Technician (Metrology) you will be responsible for supporting Metrology Engineering to ensure efficient metrology processes. These services may include but are not limited to measurement system maintenance, gage selection, gage calibration/verification process development and implementation, project management, process validation, tool/gage design, and Metrology Lab developments. How You'll Create Impact Assist in maintaining and improving controlled technical documents such as gage prints, Metrology procedures, gage profiles and calibrations, and Gage Rejection Notices. Support a wide variety of measurement applications for time, length, mass, electric current, temperature, humidity, surface roughness, luminous intensity, etc. With guidance from engineers, conduct feasibility studies to analyze measurement equipment capacity and capability requirements. Support the improvement of measurement and calibration/verification process methods which meet performance and quality requirements. Execute project plans and schedules for work activities. Communicate (written and verbal) with appropriate personnel from other departments. Improve Metrology methods which meet performance and quality requirements. What Makes You Stand Out Knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) and basic blueprint reading. Broad knowledge of good documentation practices and good manufacturing practices. Ability to balance quality, regulatory compliance and safety to meet customer requirements. Ability to handle and prioritize multiple low to medium complexity project assignments and complete work in a timely manner. Good problem-solving skills using quality and statistical tools. Ability to effectively work within a cross-functional team to complete critical project tasks. Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills. Very good command of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point and Project ) software packages. Ability to learn and incorporate new software tools such as Power BI and AI. Proactiveness and ability to make good judgement in performance of duties. Your Background You hold a high school diploma or GED, combined with a minimum of two years of college training in Science/Technology/Mathematics (associate's degree preferred) or equivalent of 3 to 4 years related experience. The ASQ certifications is highly desirable. Travel Expectations Up to 10%. EOE/M/F/Vet/Disability
