Job Description

Browning Chapman is seeking an experienced Quality Control Specialist to oversee and support quality control activities for resinous flooring installations. This position is ideal for someone with strong technical knowledge of epoxy, polyurethane, MMA, and other resin-based flooring systems who can identify quality issues, develop solutions, and work closely with field teams, suppliers, contractors, and clients. The QC Specialist will help ensure materials, installation processes, and completed flooring systems meet project specifications, manufacturer requirements, applicable standards, safety requirements, and client expectations. Key Qualifications Minimum of 5 years of experience in resinous flooring installation, flooring manufacturing, specialty construction, quality control, or a related field. Strong knowledge of resinous flooring systems, including epoxy, polyurethane, methyl methacrylate (MMA), and related systems. Understanding of resinous flooring material properties, surface preparation, application methods, mixing procedures, and curing processes. Experience developing, implementing, and monitoring quality control processes. Strong inspection, testing, and documentation skills. Ability to identify installation deficiencies, determine root causes, and implement effective corrective actions. Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills. Technical & Regulatory Qualifications Familiarity with applicable ASTM and ISO standards and flooring/coating quality requirements. NACE certification preferred; willingness to obtain certification required. OSHA safety training or equivalent construction safety experience. Knowledge of hazardous material handling and applicable environmental and safety requirements. Experience developing or implementing project-specific QA/QC plans, inspection procedures, and corrective action processes. Familiarity with inspection equipment, testing procedures, and non-destructive testing methods related to flooring and coatings is preferred. Key Responsibilities Oversee inspection and quality control of resinous flooring materials, including resins, aggregates, additives, and other components. Monitor flooring installation processes to ensure compliance with manufacturer recommendations, project specifications, and approved installation procedures. Conduct inspections of surface preparation, material mixing, application, curing, and finished flooring systems. Perform final product inspections and quality audits. Identify defects, deficiencies, and potential quality issues and assist with determining root causes and corrective actions. Develop and maintain project-specific QA/QC plans, inspection checklists, testing procedures, and corrective action documentation. Coordinate with field installation teams, project management, material suppliers, contractors, and clients regarding quality requirements and expectations. Review test results, inspection data, and quality trends to identify opportunities for process improvement. Maintain accurate quality records, inspection reports, testing documentation, and project closeout information. Help ensure projects comply with applicable ASTM, ISO, OSHA, manufacturer, and client requirements. Support continuous improvement initiatives related to installation quality, material performance, and field processes. Provide technical guidance and leadership to field personnel regarding proper resinous flooring installation and quality requirements.
Pay:
$90,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
