Description:

Night Shift Quality Inspector Job Description The Quality Inspector plays a key role in maintaining product standards by visually inspecting canisters for defects, verifying tray quantities, and moving stock as needed within a high-volume production environment. This position requires strong attention to detail, reliable work habits, and the ability to work effectively on rotating shifts. Responsibilities Inspect canisters for visual defects and ensure all products meet established quality standards. Verify that each tray contains the correct number of canisters and identify any discrepancies. Move and organize stock throughout the production area to support smooth workflow and inventory accuracy. Follow established quality control and quality assurance procedures during all inspection activities. Accurately record inspection results and report any quality issues or recurring defects to the appropriate personnel. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with site policies and procedures. Collaborate with production team members to resolve quality concerns and support continuous improvement. Adhere to all safety guidelines, including proper use of required personal protective equipment. Essential Skills Proven ability to perform visual inspection tasks with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. Experience in inspection, quality control, quality assurance, or quality inspection within a production or manufacturing environment. Strong manual dexterity to handle small parts and canisters efficiently and safely. Ability to count accurately and manage tray quantities without errors. Capability to follow established procedures and quality standards consistently across shifts. Reliability in working rotating shifts, including day and night schedules. Additional Skills & Qualifications Comfort working on a production floor with ongoing machinery and activity. Ability to stand for extended periods and move stock around the production area. Willingness to learn and adapt to site-specific quality inspection processes and tools. Basic record-keeping skills to document inspection findings and inventory movements. Why Work Here? Work Environment This role is based on a production floor inside a large manufacturing facility. The work takes place around active machinery and equipment in an indoor, industrial setting. The position follows a rotating 2-2-3 shift system with 2 night shifts available that run from 05:30 p.m. to 05:30 a.m. Steel toe shoes are required as part of the safety dress code, and employees should be prepared for extended periods of standing, walking, and handling stock in a busy production environment. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of De Soto, KS. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
