Lenexa, KS Job Details Permanent | Full-time $19 - $21 an hour 2 hours ago Qualifications Basic math English GMP Quality audits Mechanical knowledge FDA regulations Full Job Description Overview Join our dynamic manufacturing team as a Quality Inspector, where your keen eye and technical expertise will ensure our products meet the highest standards of quality and safety. In this vital role, you will be responsible for inspecting, measuring, and verifying components to guarantee compliance with industry regulations, ISO standards, and internal quality systems. Your proactive approach will help maintain our reputation for excellence and drive continuous improvement across production processes. Duties Conduct detailed visual inspections using vision inspection systems and precision measuring instruments, including height gauges and coordinate measuring machines (CMM), to verify dimensional accuracy and surface quality. Interpret mechanical blueprints, manufacturing documents, and technical drawings to ensure parts meet specified tolerances and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) standards. Perform dimensional measurements and analysis using calibrated measuring instruments to identify deviations from quality standards in production. Execute quality audits in accordance with
ISO 9001, ISO 13485
(medical devices), GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), and FDA regulations to uphold regulatory compliance. Collect, analyze, and document data related to quality control activities, supporting root cause analysis and process improvements. Collaborate with manufacturing teams to address non-conformances, implement corrective actions, and verify their effectiveness. Maintain accurate records of inspection results, calibration schedules for measuring instruments, and compliance documentation for audits. Experience Proven experience in quality control or quality assurance within a manufacturing environment, preferably in regulated industries such as medical devices or pharmaceuticals. Strong knowledge of ISO standards (ISO 9001, ISO 13485), GMP, HACCP principles, and FDA regulations related to manufacturing processes. Hands-on experience operating precision measurement tools including calipers, height gauges, GDMs (Gear Measurement Devices), and vision inspection systems. Familiarity with calibration procedures for measuring instruments and understanding of GD&T principles for mechanical blueprint interpretation. Ability to perform quality audits, analyze data accurately, and communicate findings effectively across teams. Mechanical knowledge combined with basic math skills to interpret technical specifications accurately. Excellent attention to detail with a proactive mindset toward maintaining regulatory/legal compliance standards in production.
