POSITION OVERVIEW
The Quality Assurance Inspector is responsible for assessing the quality and identifying defects in materials to ensure high standards of production. The role demands the efficient utilization of resources—people, equipment, and materials—to optimize productivity.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
The responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Monitor and ensure the quality of manufactured goods. Perform inspections on products during and post-production to confirm quality. Verify the installation of hardware as detailed in the bill of materials. Certify product compliance with customer specifications and requirements. Communicate with the Weld Shop Supervisor and Plant Manager regarding any exceedances in daily defect counts by production welders. Manage material supplies to ensure uninterrupted production in the weld shop. Apply the principles of the 5S system to maintain an organized work environment. Prepare daily and weekly reports detailing defects identified in the welding area. Maintain the cleanliness and order of the work area following the 5S methodology. Report any operational anomalies to the Weld Shop Supervisor. Perform additional duties as needed based on site-specific requirements, employee strengths, and company needs.
