Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Paint Booth Operator to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating paint booths and spray equipment to apply high-quality coatings to various products, ensuring they meet strict quality standards. Your expertise in industrial painting, surface preparation, and coating application will contribute to the production of durable, visually appealing finished products. Responsibilities Operate spray guns, airless paint sprayers, and powder coating equipment to apply coatings accurately and efficiently. Prepare surfaces through sanding, cleaning, and surface treatment to ensure optimal paint adhesion. Interpret production documents, blueprints, and work orders to follow precise coating specifications. Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols and PPE requirements at all times. Conduct visual color comparisons and quality inspections to ensure coatings meet color consistency and finish standards. Use hand tools, power tools, and machining equipment for surface preparation and finishing tasks. Follow safety procedures including respirator use, PPE adherence, and proper handling of hazardous materials such as paints and solvents. Experience Prior experience in industrial painting, powder coating, or auto body repair is highly preferred. Familiarity with construction painting surface preparation, coating application techniques, and finishing processes. Knowledge of manufacturing environments with warehouse experience is advantageous. Ability to interpret technical drawings, production documents, and measurement data using precision measuring instruments. Mechanical aptitude with experience operating fabrication tools, hand tools, power tools, and spray guns. Basic math skills for measuring materials and calculating coverage or mixing ratios. Understanding of safety protocols related to respiratory protection, PPE use, and handling of chemicals in an industrial setting.
