With operations across five North American locations, we provide an extensive fleet of rental equipment along with tailored services to meet our clients' needs. Position Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Quality Control Technician to join our team. This position is responsible for inspecting and testing raw materials, components, and finished products to ensure they meet established specifications and quality standards. The role also maintains the chemical processing operations, including monitoring phosphate bath chemistry, temperatures, and titration levels. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, experience using precision measuring equipment, and the ability to accurately document inspection and testing results. Experience in a manufacturing, oilfield, or heavy industrial environment is preferred. Key Responsibilities Inspect raw materials, components, and finished products using precision measuring tools, including calipers, micrometers, and gauges Identify defects, inconsistencies, and non-conforming products and ensure items that do not meet specifications are properly rejected or identified Record inspection results, test data, defect rates, and other required quality information Test, calibrate, and maintain measuring and testing equipment to ensure accurate readings Monitor and maintain proper chemical bath concentrations, temperatures, and titration levels Perform titration testing and maintain accurate chemical-processing records Clean metal connections and prepare parts for phosphate processing Maintain clean and organized tanks, hoses, equipment, and work areas Work closely with production personnel and engineers to identify quality issues, determine root causes, and implement corrective actions Assist in identifying opportunities to improve processes and prevent recurring quality issues Maintain accurate production, inspection, chemical-processing, and equipment records Preferred Experience 1+ years of quality control or inspection experience in a manufacturing, oilfield, or heavy industrial environment Experience using precision measuring instruments, including calipers, micrometers, and gauges Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and measurements Knowledge of dimensional tolerances and quality standards Experience with chemical processing, phosphate treatment, or industrial coating processes is preferred Experience performing titration testing and monitoring chemical bath concentrations is a plus Ability to identify defects and determine whether parts meet established specifications Strong mathematical and measurement skills Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with production and engineering teams Ability to safely work around chemicals and wear required PPE, including respirators Experience in the oilfield or heavy industrial manufacturing environment is a plus Schedule Full-time, Monday through Friday, some weekends. Average 45-55 hours per week.
