Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and dependable Metal Fabrication Machine Operator to join our fabrication team. In this hands-on role, you will assist skilled welders and fabricators in preparing materials, maintaining shop equipment, and supporting daily operations within our metal fabrication shop. Responsibilities Assist welders with material handling, including loading, unloading, and organizing materials Prepare work areas by cleaning and setting up tools, measuring instruments, and fabrication equipment in accordance with safety protocols Operate power tools, hand tools, plasma cutters, and machining equipment for cutting, shaping, and assembling metal parts Operate press brake, shear machine and pipe-bending equipment Maintain a clean and organized shop environment by adhering to safety protocols, inspecting tools regularly, and supporting inventory management of metal materials and supplies Experience Experience with press brake and shear machine required Familiarity with blueprint reading, interpreting technical drawings, and understanding mechanical blueprints Ability to read a tape measure and follow basic prints or sketches Experience with forklift operation preferred Mechanical knowledge related to assembly, machining, plasma cutting, and metal materials is highly desirable Commitment to safety protocol adherence in all aspects of shop work Join us if you're eager to grow your skills in welding support roles within a fast-paced manufacturing environment!
