Construction Materials Technician (EXPERIENCED)

CMT Tech / Inspector Job Description We are seeking a dedicated Field Technician responsible for testing construction materials across various sites in the New Orleans area. This role involves the testing of concrete and soils and requires a proactive approach to quality control and assurance. Responsibilities Conduct material testing on concrete and soils at multiple construction sites. Ensure quality control, quality assurance, and quality inspection of materials. Collaborate effectively with team members to complete tasks efficiently. Comply with all safety regulations and company policies. Maintain a professional appearance and demonstrate reliability in all tasks. Manage and handle equipment and materials weighing up to 60 pounds regularly. Essential Skills Experience in concrete testing and field inspection. Understanding of construction materials testing (CMT) processes. High school diploma or G.E.D. certificate. Valid driver's license with a clean DMV record. Ability to follow instructions accurately and efficiently. Additional Skills & Qualifications Willingness to work flexible hours, including occasional weekends. Commitment to self-improvement through technical studies. Compliance with the company's drug-free program and medical requirements. Physical ability to stand, walk, stoop, push, and pull in various weather conditions. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Metairie, LA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $25.00/hr.
