Job Description
Field Technician - Construction Materials Testing - Jefferson, Louisiana Intertek, a leading provider of quality and safety solutions to many of the world's top-recognized brands and companies, is actively seeking a Field Technician I to join our Professional Services Industries, Inc. Professional Service Industries, Inc. (Intertek-PSI) is a leading US based provider of construction assurance, testing and inspection in civil and commercial construction. Our broad service offering includes construction materials testing, geotechnical services, environmental engineering, industrial hygiene, and specialty testing. What are we looking for? The Field Technician is responsible for performing a variety of testing, project specific observations and site assessment duties under general supervision and/or from detailed controlled procedures. The ideal candidate will be willing to travel in the local region to various projects, specifically New Orleans, LA with experience in concrete testing, nuclear density testing, and pile logging. What you'll do: In this role, you will operate testing equipment and perform laboratory and field testing of soil, concrete, and other construction materials while accurately evaluating and reporting test data. You will utilize construction drawings, specifications, plans, and diagrams to support testing and inspection activities and ensure compliance with project requirements. The position involves following established testing methods and procedures to conduct detailed observations of site activities, document findings, and provide limited interpretation of results. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate and detailed records of testing activities, observations, and data collected throughout the course of each project.
