This position is responsible for weighing incoming and outgoing trucks, recording accurate ticket information, assisting customers and drivers, and helping keep daily yard operations running safely and efficiently. Responsibilities
- Operate the truck scale and accurately weigh inbound and outbound loads.
- Create and maintain scale tickets, customer records, and daily transaction reports.
- Identify material types and communicate clearly with customers, drivers, and yard personnel.
- Direct truck traffic safely through the scale area and yard entrance.
- Handle basic customer service duties in a professional and courteous manner.
- Follow all company safety procedures and help maintain a clean, organized scale house. Qualifications
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy with numbers.
- Basic computer and data entry skills.
- Good communication skills and a professional attitude.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced industrial environment.
- Experience in scrap metal, recycling, trucking, dispatch, or scale operations is preferred but not required.
- Must be reliable, punctual, and safety-minded.
