Dimensional QC Inspector Quality Machine Services Youngsville, LA Job Details Full-time $16 - $25 an hour 8 hours ago Benefits Health insurance Dental insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Life insurance Qualifications Mechanical blueprint interpretation Measurement-based inspection Microsoft Excel Dimensional inspection English High school diploma or GED Mechanical drawings Dimensional measurements Precision measurement in machining Decisiveness Full Job Description The Quality Inspector is responsible for performing well-defined inspection activities, problem solving, interpreting procedures and resolving quality related issues. The Inspector will report directly to the Quality Manager; however, may also receive direction from Ownership. Key Responsibilities Conduct inspections at all stages of the manufacturing process, including receiving parts, in-process checks, and final inspections. Prepare detailed inspection reports and organize inspection documentation. Control and maintain manufacturing and inspection documentation Support investigation of claims and root cause analysis, including execution of corrective actions Support continuous improvement initiatives and ensure compliance with manufacturing and inspection standards. Maintain inspection and measuring equipment. Assist the Quality Manager in the training of other employees Prepare Non-Conformance Reports (NCR's) for nonconforming parts. Perform additional duties as assigned by the Quality Manager or senior leadership. Minimal Job Requirements High School Diploma or Equivalent Three to five years of quality inspection experience in a manufacturing environment Hands on experience with engineering drawings and specifications Ability to read and interpret drawings/diagrams and Bill of Materials (BOMs) Good Working knowledge and use of calibrated measuring devices (Calipers, Micrometers, etc.). Understanding of CMM (Keyence) programming and its use - Operator experience strongly preferred. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Excellent problem-solving skills and documentation/procedural skills. Ability to work in a team environment with fellow inspectors and other employees. Flexibility to work priority schedules Ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint Physical Job Requirements Ability to stand or sit for extended periods (up to 8 hours per day). Comfortable working in both seated and standing positions as needed. Personal Attributes Results-driven with a focus on quality and efficiency. Strong decision-making skills and action-oriented mindset. Customer-focused with the ability to balance business needs and quality standards.
