Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Mate OSV/DPO (Offshore Support Vessel / Dynamic Positioning Operator) DP certification is a plus, but not a must to join our dynamic maritime team. Merchant Mariner Credential is a requirement, DP certificate is not required, but is a plus. In this vital role, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining the vessel's dynamic positioning systems, ensuring safe and efficient navigation and station-keeping in challenging offshore environments. Your expertise will support our offshore operations, contributing to the safety of personnel, cargo, and equipment while adhering to strict industry standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced, safety-conscious environment where your technical skills and leadership will make a significant impact. Duties Operate and monitor the vessel's dynamic positioning (DP) systems to maintain precise station-keeping during offshore operations Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of mechanical and rigging equipment to ensure optimal performance Manage vessel navigation, including route planning, collision avoidance, and adherence to maritime regulations Oversee safety procedures related to rigging, mechanical systems, and emergency response protocols Collaborate with management and offshore teams to coordinate operational activities efficiently Maintain detailed logs of vessel operations, system performance, and safety checks for compliance purposes Assist with onboard management tasks, including crew supervision and resource allocation, ensuring smooth daily operations Skills Strong background in military or maritime operations with relevant experience in offshore environments Proven management skills to lead teams effectively under demanding conditions Extensive knowledge of rigging procedures, mechanical systems, and maintenance practices on support vessels Expertise in operating dynamic positioning systems with precision and confidence Excellent communication skills for clear coordination with crew members and offshore personnel Ability to troubleshoot technical issues swiftly and implement effective solutions Certifications related to maritime safety, mechanical knowledge, rigging, and management are highly desirable Join us as a Mate OSV/DPO and become an integral part of our commitment to safe, efficient offshore operations.
