Job Title:
Quality Technician Job Description You will be responsible for conducting manufacturing in-process inspections and receiving material inspections in accordance with drawing, manufacturing order, and purchase order requirements. You must possess experience and demonstrate proficiency using calibrated measuring and test equipment, with a background in inspecting and handling electronic equipment and manufacturing methods. Good written, verbal communication, and computer skills are essential for success in this role. Responsibilities Use predetermined methods, operations, setups, and prescribed specifications to visually inspect in-process and completed products such as electronic units and subsystems, precision electromechanical assemblies, or mechanical units and subassemblies. Inspect for structural flaws, internal defects, and missing welds using various measuring devices and testing equipment. Accept, reject, or rework defective or malfunctioning units or systems. Work from blueprints, diagrams, dial indicators, preset micrometers, scales, fixtures, customer specifications, drawing or inspection instructions, and checklists. Monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures. Perform line clearances after each lot to ensure all materials from the previous lot have been removed. Essential Skills Experience in inspection, quality assurance, and quality inspection. Proficiency in documentation, BOM, blueprints, and configuration management or revision controls. Ability to use standard inspection equipment such as micrometers, verniers, height gauges, gauge pins, and CMM. Experience with visual inspection, non-conforming quality control, and quality checks. Two years of relevant experience. Must be able to obtain and maintain a government clearance. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with quality inspection, calipers, micrometers, visual inspection, non-conforming quality control, blueprints, gauges, and CMM. Work Environment This position is a 1st shift role, located onsite in Pocasset, MA. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Pocasset, MA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $28.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
