Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a highly detail-oriented and energetic Precision Sheet Metal Quality Control Inspector to join our manufacturing team. In this vital role, you will ensure that all sheet metal components meet stringent quality standards through meticulous inspection and measurement processes. Your expertise will help maintain the integrity of our products, uphold regulatory compliance, and support continuous improvement initiatives. Duties Perform visual and dimensional quality inspections, such as first piece inspections, in process inspections, and final inspections, in accordance to the Quality Management System. Performs inspections of customer returned materials, and determines rework needed. Assists with the RMA process. Completes First Article Inspections and completes customer required FAI reports. Performs mechanical inspection of sheet metal fabricated parts to ensure conformance to quality standards and to identify non-conformance where it occurs. Performs all work according to engineering drawings, written work procedures, and verbal and written instructions. Uses calipers, micrometer, scales, and combination-square and other measuring equipment to inspect sheet metal fabricated parts. Records data and findings from inspections in inspection reports and related documentation with a high degree of accuracy, completeness, and attention to detail. Demonstrates an excellent mechanical aptitude. Alert appropriate personnel whenever a nonconformance is suspected. Contributes to positive teamwork environment. Troubleshoot minor nonconformances independently, as well as make routine decisions and use problem solving to resolve basic nonconforming parts. Processes all required paperwork and documentation. Ensure compliance with Safety standards. Review documentation as needed to ensure quality of parts, materials and or services received from outside vendors. Ensure accuracy and organize documentation of the inspections performed. Requirements Experienced in Quality Inspection of metal fabricated parts. (5-to-10-year experience preferred). Knowledge of raw materials used (material grade, thickness, etc.), hardware, tooling, production processes and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture of products and quality of parts. The QC Inspector must be able to read and interpret all engineering drawings and blueprints, and has a demonstrated proficiency in all inspection phases. Ability to read customer prints from a variety of industries. Has the capability of using English and Metric systems of measurement.

ISO 9000
Quality Management System. Fast paced environment, must be able to multitask, to manage several jobs running concurrently. Strong communication skills to effectively communicate with supervisors, shop foreman, production control, and other shop personnel for assignments and to resolve quality issues. Salary based on experience level.
Pay:
$26.03 - $31.00 per hour Expected hours: 25.0 - 55.0 per week
