Part-Time Ardent Staffing Solutions is seeking a detail-oriented Part-Time Quality Control Inspector for a manufacturing opportunity in the Lawrence, MA area. The Quality Inspector will perform incoming, in-process, and final product inspections to ensure materials and finished products meet required specifications, quality standards, and customer requirements. Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Inspect incoming materials to verify purchase-order requirements, quantities, part numbers, revision levels, color, printing, critical dimensions, and certificates of conformance.
- Perform in-process inspections according to work instructions and accurately record findings.
- Conduct final inspections based on product routing, drawings, specifications, and customer requirements.
- Create inspection reports and enter inspection results into the quality database.
- Inspect products using AQL sampling plans and calibrated measuring equipment.
- Use approved procedures, specifications, and inspection equipment at all times.
- Identify, document, and segregate nonconforming products for review.
- Complete Defective Material Reports and support Material Review Board processes as needed.
- Maintain accurate quality records and files in accordance with established procedures.
- Maintain approved customer and vendor samples.
- Assist with internal quality audits and support ISO quality-system procedures.
- Recommend production-process improvements to help improve product quality and yields.
- Follow all safety rules and company quality policies. Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- At least five years of related experience in an electromechanical assembly, printed electronics, or manufacturing inspection environment preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and
ANSI Y14.5
dimensioning and tolerancing specifications.- Experience using inspection tools, including vernier calipers, micrometers, pin gauges, drop gauges, and multimeters.
- Familiarity with electrical test equipment is preferred.
- Ability to document inspection results clearly and prepare reports.
- Knowledge of
ISO 9001
quality-system applications is preferred.- Experience with calibration-system requirements is preferred.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Excel, Word, Access, and PowerPoint.
- ASQ membership is preferred but not required.
- Strong math, problem-solving, communication, and attention-to-detail skills. Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, sit, reach, bend, kneel, crouch, and use hands for detailed inspection tasks.
- Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
- Requires close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with moving mechanical parts, occasional low-level solvent fumes, and typical warehouse/manufacturing noise.
