Full Job Description Job Position Summary:
You will be responsible to ensure the integrity and suitability of manufactured goods for delivery to customers. You will perform inspections of parts according to customer specifications.
You must have:
A high School Diploma or Equivalent. Tech School preferred. 5+ yrs Experience as an Inspector for Manufacturing. Experience in the Aerospace industry, preferred Strong Attention to details Basic computer skills Experience as a DQR for customers preferred. The ability to use inspection tools such as micrometers, calipers, indicators. The ability to read and interpret basic blueprints and company operation sheets. The ability to effectively communicate both written and verbally. The ability to follow set up instructions, set up, and operate machine controls. The ability to write nonconformance reports (NCR's) Understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) Understanding of Enterprise Resource Planning computer systems and how it pertains to inspection. The ability to work independently with minimum supervision Familiarity with all measuring equipment (borescopes, surface profilometers, gage blocks, thread gages, go/no-go gages.) Strong understanding of 6S. In your role, you will: Follow Safety culture and wear PPE when required. Perform visual and dimensional inspections of a variety of part numbers. Enter inspection results into ERP system. Read and interpret engineering drawings, operation process sheets and work instruction. Perform receiving inspection of raw material & parts received from outside processes. Use all measuring equipment including but not limited to calipers, indicators, micrometers. Write nonconformance reports (NCR) Maintain a clean organized work area.
Working Conditions :
Normal Production environments, subject to high noise levels from operating machines; physical hazards from moving equipment and sharp machine parts; breathing fumes, dust, and mist; skin exposure to oil and cutting fluid; exposure to sharp metal edges, and forklifts.
Physical Requirements:
Must have ability to read applicable customer documents with or without corrective lenses. May have to lift up to thirty (30) pounds at a time, as required. Ability to pass annual eye exam by licensed optometrist. Must be able to push, pull, reach overhead, stand, walk, climb stairs, bend and/or sit for long periods of time. 1st shift - 7am - 3:30pm
