Job Description AECOM is seeking a highly experienced Senior Quality Inspector to work on various construction engineering and inspection projects, including railroad, bridge, and highway work. This position is on site in Rocky Hill, CT. Responsibilities are included but not limited to: Serves as a technical expert in field inspections and quality audits, recognized as the 'go-to' expert internally and externally Provides guiding direction for inspections on engagements. Sets direction and goals for inspection and/or business line. External spokesperson on technical project issues. Leads the audit strategy for an individual's area of expertise. Oversees construction inspectors on assigned project, ensuring compliance with all codes, rules, and regulations. When appropriate, recommends or causes others to issue notices of violation, stop work orders, and temporary approval for occupancy. Work directly with construction contractors.
Qualifications Minimum Qualifications:
HS plus ten years of experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education. Valid U.S. Driver's License required to visit project sites, clients, and other AECOM offices. As a condition of employment, selected candidate must pass a Motor Vehicle Records review.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working with Amtrak and/or Connecticut Dept. of Transportation (CTDOT) Experience in providing overall guidance and supervision of subordinates Experience working directly with construction contractors Knowledge of MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.) Willingness to work flexible schedules as needed for projects, including overnight work Serves as technical expert in field inspections ad audits, recognized as the 'go-to' expert internally and externally Provides guiding direction for inspections on engagements. Sets direction and goals for inspection and/or business line. External spokesperson on technical project issues. Leads the audit strategy for individual's area of expertise. Key point of contact for engagements and member of AECOM senior leadership team. Additional Information Sponsorship assistance is available. Relocation is not available for this position.
