POSITION SUMMARY
As an Inspection Technician, you will be responsible for using established procedures for inspection of raw materials, components, subassemblies and finished goods. You will work closely with the engineering team, providing feedback for continued product design improvement and helping to arrive at root-cause issues as they arise.​ The successful candidate must be able to read, analyze and interpret drawings and schematics, technical procedures, or governmental regulations, standard operating/quality assurance procedures, and function well in a manufacturing environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Inspects incoming materials using precision measuring instruments and electronic testing equipment to determine conformance to written specifications
  • Reviews material specifications, receiving inspection instructions, supplier quality history records
  • Inspects and measures material for conformance to specifications
  • Evaluate the root cause for out of spec product and provide corrective actions as needed
  • Complete and control the required quality records and/or documents as directed by the department standard operating procedures
  • Handles defective parts, and helps prepare them for return to vendor processes
  • Interface with engineering to resolve more difficult issues

  • Comfortable with schematics and mechanical drawings
  • Experience and desire to work in a collaborative team environment and proactive engagement in innovation / problem solving, and all aspects of communication.
Required Skills/Experience:
  • 2+ years' experience in precision mechanical and/or electrical components inspection.
  • Experienced with standard measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, gage blocks
  • Experience using set-up documents and operation procedures for manufacturing specifications
  • Must be authorized to work in the
United States Desired Skills/Experience:
  • Must be able to work effectively alone under minimal supervision and complete assigned work targets in a timely manner
  • Hands-on experience in manufacturing environment, non-production line
  • Proficient with Windows, Microsoft Office, Word, and Access, with an emphasis on
Excel Education:
  • HS Diploma or equivalent
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and talk or hear. The employee is regularly required to lift 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds. This position will regularly include twisting, reaching, crouching, and kneeling. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop; kneel; crouch. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close, color, and peripheral vision and ability to adjust focus.
Pay:
$23.00 - $25.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
