Quality Inspector Apply Now Job Description:

Location:

Westford, Massachusetts We are seeking an experienced Quality Inspector to join our client's team in Westford, MA. This is a F/T direct placement at $35 -$40 per hour This is an excellent opportunity for a quality-focused professional with experience inspecting precision machined components, interpreting engineering drawings, and utilizing advanced measurement equipment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing quality systems, dimensional inspection, and statistical process control. Experience with CMM reporting and process capability analysis is required.

Responsibilities:

Perform in-process and final inspections of precision machined components Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, travelers, specifications, and process sheets Conduct inspections using customer and company inspection plans Utilize a variety of precision measuring instruments including calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and other metrology equipment Document inspection findings and maintain accurate quality records Identify and report nonconforming products and quality issues Assist production personnel with inspection methods and measurement techniques Participate in quality audits and continuous improvement activities Support management reviews and quality-related reporting Maintain organized inspection documentation and records Mechanical aptitude and excellent mathematical skills Ability to identify trends and drive process improvements

Desired Background/Skills:

5+ years of Quality Inspection experience in a manufacturing environment Experience inspecting machined components to tight tolerances Strong blueprint reading and GD&T knowledge Proficiency with precision measurement equipment Experience with CMM data extraction and statistical reporting highly preferred Knowledge of Cpk calculations and Statistical Process Control (SPC) Strong computer skills with the ability to analyze and report quality data Excellent communication and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team
